about

I wanted to do a soundscape kind of like rain and a flute playing that sounded a bit like the flute at the end of Akira Kurosawa's Ran. I asked Michelle if she could do something like that and she said she would and sent me a couple bits of her playing her flute. When I heard it mixed with rain it sounded good but also it sounded like something I have done before (and something others have done before as well).

So I let it set for a while. A few months. Then one day I was listening to Led Zeppelin's "When The Levee Breaks" and I thought of Michelle's flute tracks. I though I can run them through some heavy reverb and improvise around them. This happened to be at the time that it was proposed to freeze the ground under the Fukushima Reactor. This is the first and only take.
